LOL!

I’m sure you know I was referring to Rush.

Who is NOT in the tank for Mitt.

No. I really thought you were referring to the Mite. -:)
I was sincere as to my Rush comments- He has lived the American Dream- he’s a genius. Started from nothing- and became an icon. And I truly wish him continued success.

My problem with Rush is the “blind spot”— it doesn’t seem that he understands that others have made their money fraudulently— subsidies, tax breaks, buying off politicians.

So, for instance, he saw no problem with the bank executives getting huge bonuses after the bailout. They got that money fraudulently- the Fed gave the banks free money, which they then invested risk free- to make billions. The consequence for the taxpayer was inflation, de-valuation of the dollar, higher food and energy costs, and losses in property equity. This then was not the American Dream- not free enterprise- not capitalism-— it was socialism for the wealthy and connected.

Rush doesn’t see it that way- he sees it as jealousy against those who received the bonuses. I have no problem with that type of compensation- if it was made above board. But, in this circumstance, it was not. The system was rigged.

That’s where I believe Rush is disconnected with the majority of his listeners— American Dream yes; plutocracy no.

But, no. I have no jealousy of Rush— we’re near the same age, he’s bald-— I still have a full head of hair. -:)
