I heard Santorum today, responding to Newt’s comment that he “would be delighted if Santorum dropped out”. Santorum wasn’t sounding like a VP for anybody, especially Newt. I think there would have to be some significant “bridge-building” for this to happen.

I’d be less likely to vote for a Gingrich/Santorum ticket than one featuring Gingrich/Almost Anyone Else.
And there are a LOT of “almost anyone elses” out there who would be great, including most notably Paul Ryan - or Marco Rubio, or Pat Toomey, or Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, just to name three. There are many more.

I don't think that's what he said MissM. I think he said he would be delighted if Santorum endorsed him, if he were to drop out - the reporter asked him, provoked the comment if you will. Another MSM driven jab at Newt.
