Gingrich will get what everyone gets - a few one hour moderated debates. If it were all decided on debates, I would say go with Gingrich, but the problem is that most of this will be fought on the retail politics side, and Obama is far superior on that score than Gingrich. Can you see the fat, old, disheveled Gingrich out kissing babies? With Callista?! It just doesn’t work. Santorum, Romney, Perry and Paul are all superior on that score. Newt would be fine on that “retail” side. He doesn’t have to kiss babies ..he can hold dignified fireside chats, coffees with seniors, town halls — he’s GREAT in person and he sways voters everytime they see him in public.
Besides, the thought of Obama kissing babies somehow makes my own skin crawl. Wasn’t it HE who said he wouldn’t want his own daughter to be “punished w/ a baby?” anyway? We all know Obama is cold and aloof and probably hates most living things ...
