FLORENCE, S.C. – Injecting a big dose of testosterone into the presidential debate, Republican candidate Newt Gingrich said on Tuesday that he wants to “knock out” President Obama in the general election in response to a question about whether he wants to bloody his nose.
At a town hall meeting attended by about 200 people at the Art Trail Gallery, a supporter told Gingrich, “We’ve got to bloody Obama’s nose. You’ve mentioned challenging him to seven, three-hour debates.… If he doesn’t agree to that, how do you plan to aggressively take the gloves off and go after him?” Gingrich responded, “I don’t want to argue with you about the analogy. I don't want to bloody his nose, I want to knock him out.”

Of course he does, and you know it. Everyone knows it. There’s much to like about Gingrich, but he steps in it regularly; he’s his own worst enemy.

Newt’s the only one with the knockout punch. Will everybody quit screwing around and just vote for Newt! Tell the media - they are not going to tell you how to vote. The media does not want Newt because they are afraid of what he’ll do to Obama. They also don’t like being called out by Newt, because they don’t want the public to know their agenda. Revolt and take control and vote for Newt. Going with Romney is like the sheep going to slaughter. If you don’t like Obama, then just vote for Newt! He’ll deliver the knockout we all want. Just do it. I don’t understand what the problem is. Too many timid people not serious about changing the direction of this country. Defeat liberalism and send a message. Vote For Newt! Just do it! Obama does not want to debate Newt! Vote for Newt!

Newt has his weaknesses, but he has results.
I'd say he throws a knockout punch on the hockey puck, knocking it along the third base line for a field goal-in-one hat-trick, by a nose and at the photofinish of the Gold Medal 7-10-split no-hitter.
Since I was a medic in the Army, I volunteer to fix the Pres after Newt "knocks him out".
I promise that I will do my best to bring him back from his coma.

No problem. Newt has said he would follow Obama around and show up within four hrs. of where Obama had just spoken. If Obama refuses to debate face to face, he will be forced to debate from afar.
Either way Obama is the loser.......! Ought to be fun.

Gingrich will get what everyone gets - a few one hour moderated debates. If it were all decided on debates, I would say go with Gingrich, but the problem is that most of this will be fought on the retail politics side, and Obama is far superior on that score than Gingrich. Can you see the fat, old, disheveled Gingrich out kissing babies? With Callista?! It just doesn’t work. Santorum, Romney, Perry and Paul are all superior on that score. Newt is like a nuclear weapon - he’s incredibly leathal - but you can only use him in rare scenarios...and he comes with fallout.

Oh, you’re just talking about of your BUTT.
Newt would be fine on that “retail” side. He doesn’t have to kiss babies ..he can hold dignified fireside chats, coffees with seniors, town halls — he’s GREAT in person and he sways voters everytime they see him in public.
Besides, the thought of Obama kissing babies somehow makes my own skin crawl. Wasn’t it HE who said he wouldn’t want his own daughter to be “punished w/ a baby?” anyway? We all know Obama is cold and aloof and probably hates most living things ...

He talks big vision, but does not carry it out long-term. And I don't think we want many of those Toffler-esque long term visions he has either (which is why he has a soft spot for Global Warming and such).

It’s a shame he’s gotta lose the General Election anyways - nothing personal, just business.
Yes, I always read the opinion of the other side, how can you understand or respond to it if you don’t? Sir, honestly, you must be the only one in America that thinks that Gingrich doesn’t come with baggage - both personal and political. I understand you’re a fan of his and all, but it’s silly.
