GOP Debate
(Excerpt) Read more at live.foxnews.com ...
I haven’t done backflips in years.... wait, I never have done them. LOL It was GREAT.
Please God, give us Newt.
GO NEWT GO.....
They do not want NEWT to have a minute of time, they know he will OWN it all, and in so few words, it scares the ..... out of them.
A Gingrich/Palin ticket would be great, but Palin is perceived as “damaged goods” thanks to the MSM and would likely be as much of a liability as an asset after the 3 years of near-daily media hit pieces written about her and the relentless media attacks.
She’s not the caricature of herself that the media has created, but that’s the perception, and perception equals reality.
When McCain picked her and she gave her acceptance speech and McCain pulled ahead of Obama, I said on this forum that the MSM would do to Palin what they did to Bush, but in a far more vicious way and in a far less time.
They succeeded and I’m still seeing the media run anti-Palin articles on the internet to this day, the most recent one criticizing her hair.
Yes, her hair.
Meanwhile, the 1st Fat-Ass has the MSM kissing hers on a daily basis.
Joan Rivers said it best when she called her “Blackie-O” after the MSM tried to paint her as some type of beautiful fashion icon.
And now she’s some spokesperson on health and exercise for our children?
Just how stupid can people be?
From your lips to God’s ears.
GO NEWT GO.....
With Santorum, I was more surprised than anything. I always thought he was a fiscal conservative until I learned he was a big spender.
“Theres a lot to like about Perry but Im afraid Obama would get the best of him in debates.”
And there it is. Obama would get the best of all of them - EXCEPT Newt - in debates. And when it comes to voters in the general, elections are often won or lost by debates.
If we’re to have any real chance of dethroning BHO, we’d better put up one who’ll make him look like the fool he is, and give him the comeuppance he so richly deserves, in front of millions and millions of people. The Obama machine will play very, very dirty - we need a real scrapper who also has a silver tongue and is unflappable.
For this election year at least, the only one who fills that bill is Newt.
Ron Paul could be 100% right on every single issue, but Obama would out-BS him in the debates and would be re-elected.
As mentioned above, there is really only one candidate that has a command of the issues and can articulate them succinctly and eloquently, and that is Gingrich.
While he lays out his argument, 0bama would retort with rehearsed, memorized, vague responses full of “uhs, and ums and I”
Newt would wipe up the floor with 0bama, even if the debate moderators were all Dem operatives.
I'm with you.
After Beck pulled his despicable, dishonest attack on Newt, followed by a love fest with Bachmann, I cancelled my subscription and don't open the emails I still get. Have not listened to one sentence from him since and haven't missed him one second - which surprises even me.
The Governor has shown a rapid improvement in his debating skills. The media has decided that the script for Perry is that he can’t debate, even though it’s obviously no longer true.
Didn’t he get a standing ovation at one of last year’s debates? Yet tonight we hear about the “first” one.
I agree. Juan has always come across to me as a good, sweet soul who still hasn't gotten in touch with his inner conservative!
I even thought so back in 2005, 2006, when I also thought the world of Britt Hume. Odd how things work out. Juan has always been, "What you see is what you get." It has always made him worthy of my respect.
But when, in a fraction of the time, on a fraction of the budget -- and no matter what one thinks of him in retrospect, these facts are true -- Fred Thompson climbed and remained within the margin of error in every single primary poll conducted, and when the actual primaries were held, he even beat Romney and came in second, not third, in one of them, Britt Hume pretended there was no such candidate as Thompson. On a fraction of the budget, in a fraction of the time, Thompson acheived something REMARKABLE by any standards, and I watched Britt "reporting" on the Republican primary race between Romney, McCain, Huckabee, and Giulianni. Britt turned out to be the biggest phony I'd ever fallen for.
I respect Juan Williams and am glad he's around.
As for Britt, piss on him.
Continue to Freep Poll at Drudge. Making Ground on Paulbots!

SANTORUM 6.36% (2,754 votes)
Total Votes: 43,270
Sorry for a late response. If he did, I don’t recall the moment.
I was never a GBTV subscriber, but I have completely turned off his radio show. His Newt attacks were so unbelievably biased and over-the-top, I will NEVER listen to his radio show again.
Exactly. Newt does positive very well. He is substantive and has a great record to refer to.
Romney is mushy and not specific. He does not have a lengthy record in elective office and what he has is not strong on conservative. Comparatively, Newt can really take it to him and redirect the debate to the real issue of experience and proven competence. If the argument steers this way, Newt wins hands down.
He's clueless - - he says the Taliban just wants us out of THEIR country!
It's not their country - they took it over, destroyed the infrastructure - roads, power, water, etc., suppressed women, (Afghanistan used to be quite a beautiful country) and pushed it back to, essentially, cave man days.
I just happened to hear Luntz again, and wow - he said that in all his sixteen years of debates, this was the first time EVER that he’d seen a standing ovation during one!
Juan’s wife, a lovely lady, (they seem to have a great marriage,) is a staunch conservative republican and his son WORKS for a republican outfit. So he, at least, is exposed to conservative points of view.
Watching for an answer to your question as well!
It was either the moderators or Mitt, but I believe mitts mic was still hot. If so, it was great hearing the audible displeasure of being challenged while stumbling at the same time
I think the CNN debate will be better with more airtime for Newt
