I see you’re still peddling that “Newt balanced the budget four years in a row” lie. The budget hasn’t been balanced since 1969. But then you knew that already.
I was quoting Jim Robinson. Using an accounting trick of taking certain items off the budget has allowed democrats and pubbies alike to claim ‘balancing the budget’. When Johnson wanted to fund his ‘great welfare society’ he made every revenue coming into the federal coffers part of ‘the general fund’. It didn’t take long for the unbalanced budgets to start showing up, despite the huge tax revenue being spent from a social security debenture set up which places IOUs in a fund instead of tax revenues collected under the deceit of ‘social security withholding’. But if you want to tell someone they’re pushing a lie, from the quoted post, then I suggest you insult Jim instead of trying to hide your twisted agenda.
