Giuliani had Big Plans-—he opened a law office in Texas to facilitate the TTC project-—his law client was the Spanish company, the beneficiary of the Texas govt’s enminent domain land grab.

Giuliani clearly needed the Governor’s help to eminent domain the thousands of acres needed to get the project off the ground.

Hard to believe they just let it drop——there was so much in it for the politicians-—for everyone except the unfortunate Texans targeted for the land grab.

Must be a Plan B lying around somewhere.

As someone who was involved in the Long Branch, NJ eminent domain situation (MOTOSA) and interviewed Suzanne Kelo of New London, I have NO sympathy with eminent domain.

Although I now believe it was a mistake, I voted for Chris Christie because he was pretty good on ED as Attorney General. I’m disgusted that my mayor (when I lived full time in NYC) - who I voted for twice - was involved in this horror.
