All GWB had to do was to stand up and defend himself and start swingin', in fact if he had managed to pry open his freakin' piehole and called out 0bama on his questionable Constitutional credentials, pointed out his lack of experience, just generally taken the fight to the 'Rats in '08, we might not be dealing with the Communist regime currently in power right now.

Of course we would have ended up with a Commie sympathizer anyway, although the odds would be greater that McCain would have had a stroke or heart attack from the strain of being POTUS, and we could have ended up with President Sarah Palin, and in retrospect I could definitely live with that.

The problem that GWB had (among many) was that he allowed his political enemies to DEFINE him, and he was engaging in that fool's errand known as 'reaching across the aisle' all the time, hoping the 'Rats would somehow love him, when all they were doing was playing him for a sucker, just like they did his pathetic old man with that "read my lips" garbage. The Junior RINO didn't fall far from the Senior RINO, we can see that now.
