The dead are dead. There's no more desecration in peeing on a dead body than in putting make up on the face to make the body look pretty in a coffin.

Still, the way people undertake mourning for their own dead is pretty much their own business ~ which, alas, is a standard not respected by our own courts. More than one judge has found himself ruling that a cross along the highway where someone was killed is an un-permitted state establishment of religion.

With the federal courts, the ACLU and the Westboro church crowd allowed to run rampant in this nation creating distress on the way ordinary folks conduct funerals or show grief, it's pretty clear the Marines here had NO PUBLIC STANDARD AVAILABLE at the highest levels to tell them this sort of behavior was probably NOT in the public interest.

I have not yet seen the ACLU joining in this one ~ they know their own brutal ways will be highlighted should they do so!

If anyone is to blame in this it is, of course, the US Supreme Court for setting a very bad example. Next time let Justice Roberts and Ginsburg travel to Kabul to justify this to the Taliban.

In some cultures they eat their hearts...men being men.
I know there are women in the military but I don’t think they bother with the peeing and eating hearts.
