Pats were winning with a convincing lead late in the game, and there was a chance of injury to Brady with a blitz, so he just punted it. The fight was a cheap shot after the whistle blew. Then the brouhaha continued.

Congrats to the Patriots and their fans for a fine win!!
To: FamiliarFace
I’ve never seen a quarterback punt a ball before. Has that ever happened before?

If the Pat’s can put another game like that on next week, it doesn’t matter who the opponent is. Good win. Classy move by non-factor Miller on the quick kick.

Smart move, no one was going to budge from Fox until it was done.
The humiliation of the Denver Broncos really needn’t have been broadcast at all.

They didn’t want the haters whining about running up the score.

oh, just wait - thats coming.

Like I said earlier in the thread, I am not at all impressed with SF. The Saints coughed up the ball 5 times, and still almost won. On SF turf to boot.
Next week, GB in a massacre.

I know George Blanda used to be a QB- K, but I am not sure he punted.

It’s not frequent, but it’s been done before.

Danny White punted, so did the old Head Ball Coach when he played for the Niners.

Yeah, but the reason they coughed up the ball 5 times, was because the Niners were beating their brains out. Those were crushing hits. Doesn't mean they will play like that next week, but they did tonight.
Last week, against the #1 ranked defense, Tebow had all kinds of time to throw. Tonight, against a poorly-ranked defense, he had no time. The Pats were in his face constantly. Don't ask me to figure that out.
