Limbaugh is right. A discussion of ethical capitalism is for liberals and fools. Romney should be attacked for romneycare. And his flip flops. His stint with Bain is not conservatives’ problem with Romney.

Ditto.

A book written by one those damned fools who liked to discuss ethical capitalism:

http://www.isi.org/books/bookdetail.aspx?id=c6f6a31f-ffc0-40a0-9bd7-53fb07f45429

“An introduction to economic thinking which holds that the vital things in life are those beyond supply and demand, written by the chief architect of Germany’s post-war social market economy. A Humane Economy offers an understandable and compelling explanation of how economies operate. A sweeping and brilliant exposition of market mechanics and moral philosophy, Röpke’s masterwork cuts through the jargon and statistics that make most economic writing so obscure and confusing. Over and over, the great Swiss economist stresses one simple point: You cannot separate economic principles from human behavior.”

Amazingly enough, it is offered by the old conservative outfit ISI, and its author used to be featured at National Review. I guess they didn’t have the wisdom of Rush.

Here’s another bit of info on Roepke from The Future of Freedom Foundation, who also appear unaware of how benighted this man was in thinking that ethics and economics had anything in common:
