Thank you. And I am glad this issue have to the fore at last, because until now we have ceded it to the Left, responding with kneejerks to often perfectly legitimate complaints and criticisms. No, not everything is hunky dory in the world of rampant capitalism, which is not to argue for government control or socialism.
Perhaps one needs to experience it on one’s own skin, like having a job exported to cheap incompetents in Bangalore, but shining the light on the cockroaches of Wall Street can only do us all good. Unfortunately, because of the money involved, our systems, government and media (such as the conservative WSJ) are always reactive, instead of (I hate this word) pro-active, or anticipatory. Note how much effort it took to flush Bernie Madoff out. And MF Global? (By the way, do you know what the ‘MF’ stood for among that company’s insiders?)
Something like the abbreviation used for the lawyers of Morrison & Foerster?
An unspeakable act by Governor Jon Corzine, crony capitalist extraordinaire?
Actually, it stands for Man Financial (after James Man, who founded the original company in 1783), from which MF Global was spun off.
