Sounds interesting. Curious? How do you feel this controversy is breaking for Newt?

As to whether it will hurt Rush or not, interesting theory.

I think there's a high liklihood that it will hurt Rush's profits. I've been a Rush fan since the early 1990s, and I am a FR junkie. I've seen folks get ticked at Rush before, but never even close to the magnitude that I've seen in the past few days. Anecdotal? Perhaps ... but more likely is that the FReeper Rush/former Rush fans here are matched by many non-FReeper Rush/former Rush fans.

We're not the only ones who feel betrayed.

"He brings in the revenue, so the whole idea that he is towing the corporate line does not line up with follow the money."

They'll tolerate that for only so long. If you think the suits wont step in after their corporate moniker is getting drug through the mud at the level Bain's is, you are kidding yourself.

I have been listening to Rush since 1990. This is one of those rare times after listening to him today that a little red flag went up. As to Glenn Beck he has gone nuts. I can’t listen to him anymore. Levin and Hannity still seem on the up and up.

And while I’m at it, I think that the time and resources of “conservatives” would be much better spent making videos that attack Obama rather than Romney-—and they’d have a much easier time.

AMEN..AMEN..AMEN.. I have been preaching that since these idiots started throwing rocks at each oyher....We are not the enemy...Obama is, wake up!!!!

You have absolutely no clue about where the leverage is in this situation, and I cannot convince you otherwise. Good evening.

"The Stern issue is totally different."

How so? He is the reason his stations were successful, still they fired him. And it's not Mitts name that is of concern, it's Bains.

I cancelled Rush 24/7 and stopped listening in 2008. I am still ticked that he ignored Obama’s eligibility and Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution. The man is a phony.

That Rush claims to love the Constitution and has an American Flag displayed in house (given to him by American pilots) makes my dinner churn. How many lives have been lost because a usurper, with insane foreign policies and rules of engagement, occupies the White House? What did we get from Rush? Silence, turned away calls from the screeners, and rejected e-mails.

I agree 100%!!

And add that other phony Mark Levin as well. The self-described defender of the Constitution who has hid under his bed with respect to this issue. Some defender of the Constitution.

First thing that popped into my mind when I started to read this thread : Projection.
Second thing : George Soros, and his several hundred financially connected propaganda outlets, Media Matters and other extreme left groups.

Yes, I am presently wearing my tinfoil hat as I type this.

Um, hello?

These are the PRIMARIES. We all know that Obama is ultimately the bad guy. I know that every single one of the Republican candidates is against Obama and I even know WHAT they're going to criticize Obama for. BIG DEAL! It accomplishes ZERO in the primaries, and informs me and thee of NOTHING.

The primaries are when we have to pick the best guy to further the cause of conservatism. Romney IS A STATIST. Statism is the enemy of conservatism. If his Republican opponents in the primaries have to "go negative" to point that out, that's life in the big city. AND IT IS NECESSARY.

I want to see a lot of rocks thrown at Romney because he is as much "the enemy" as Obama and he needs to be taken down DURING THE PRIMARIES. Anytime after that will be too late.

Which is only a problem if Newt is not the nominee.
Otherwise they have footage of McCain as well, and quote’s on the subject from just about every GOP candidate from 08. So in the end, it ain’t much of a magic bullet.

Stern was employee and was paid way above what his show produced as I understand it.

Limbaugh is involved in the profit equation of his show as owner of his show.
