I think most Americans give the Islamic world the benefit of a doubt because they know most Muslim countries are dictatorships: we didn’t hate the Russian PEOPLE because of the Soviet Union. We knew they were it’s prisoners. In that sense the Egyptian spring - which shows us the majority of Egyptians actually WANT a theocracy - is actually to our long-term benefit.
It is only to our benefit IF the people in charge finally understand that islam has been at war with civilization for over 1400 years, and that we are currently in an escalation of that war.
I don’t hold out a lot of hope that the people in charge have that understanding. Hence, I will continue my preparation for the pending onslaught...the SHTF moment when a lot of people will look around, and with their last breath utter the inevitable “WTF?”
