If Gingrich and Santorum dropped out, Perry could win. If Perry and Gingrich dropped out, Santorum could win. If we all supported Perry, he’d be ahead in the polls and Gingrich would be down. If we all supported Santorum, he’d be ahead in the polls.

What’s the point? There are three candidates, and there are people supporting each, and refusing to support the others. That is the problem , not that the candidates don’t know when to quit, but that the supporters haven’t given up. If Perry supporters gave up, he’d poll 1% and it wouldn’t matter if he was in or out.

The real problem is that a lot of people once considered on our side, like Haley, Coulter, Bolton, and others, aren’t backing the conservative candidates. Why?

Because, as much as we might like, the world really isn't black and white and they know it. Our job is to push the tide to white, even if we need to cross a few streams of grey along the way.

Think about it a while it will eventually come to you. It's a point that was expressed by Newt, Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham and several others these last few days so it's not just something only I have thought up. It's common sense.

All you have to do is go back to 2008 and look into how we got McCain. It will come to you. I think.
