Iran Contra is a wet dream of the left that gets their rocks off.The Boland amendment was a tool of the hippie Marxist left.It was all for show.
Clandestine foreign operations,especially in the cold war,were nasty.Who cares if Iran and Iraq beat the pulp out of each other!Selling arms is nice compared to what I would do to hostage takers.The Soviets of the 80's had it right.I am sure such operations were the tip of the iceberg.Communism in our hemisphere is not to be tolerated.(I do not want to talk about Cuba).Realpolitik is uncomfortable to some.This is old news and has been settled.Ag.
