The chief assistant to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met Wednesday with leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood – Washington's highest-level talks yet with the eight-decade-old Islamist group that has dominated Egypt's parliamentary elections.
On Wednesday a spokesman for the Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party told the AFP news agency that US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns would meet with leaders of the party at its new headquarters in Cairo. He said the encounter would be "the highest-level meeting with any official from the United States."
The deputy head of the FJP has already held talks with Jeffrey Feltman, US assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs.
Burns arrived in the Egyptian capital the day before and reportedly met with Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.
Washington has said it would pursue "limited contacts" and "re-engagement" with the Brotherhood after the party took about 40 percent of votes in parliamentary elections that followed the February overthrow of longtime president Hosni Mubarak.

Must be strange for Hillary to sit down with members of the Muslim brotherhood, who are more used to stoning women that talking with them.
I don’t know how we can expect this to turn out right when Muslims do not like women who think they should be in charge.
Obama is ready to Bow down to the Brotherhood.....
I think a more accurate statement is the Brotherhood are ready to bow down to Obama.....
Its his brethren that he has been enabling.
