Suspected Syria munitions boat to leave Cyprus

A ship reportedly carrying ammunition to Syria will be allowed to leave Cyprus after giving authorities assurances it will change its destination, a government official said Wednesday.
Media reports said the cargo ship was carrying up to 60 tonnes of ammunition....

A ship reportedly carrying ammunition to Syria will be allowed to leave Cyprus after giving authorities assurances it will change its destination, a government official said Wednesday. It would seem that someone in the government bureaucracy may have been influenced by another, perhaps bribery is involved. God knows. Yet, I believe that the 60 tons of ammunition will arrive in Syria when all is said and done and Israel must protect itself from those trying to destroy them.

Guess we’ll find out as the Russian ship has landed in Tartus, after giving Cyprus the slip. 4 containers had not as yet been opened by Cypriot authorities. Thus no one knows what the “dangerous cargo” listed on the manifest was. At least in part...
