Like most of the Paulbots you seem to have adopted the mindset that ONLY fiscal policy is important and the hell with everything else.
Ron Paul fully supports social liberalism and the bulk of his followers do as well.
"Without morals a republic cannot subsist any length of time...They therefore who are decrying the Christian religion, whose morality is so sublime and pure and which insures to the good eternal happiness, are undermining the solid foundation of morals, the best security for the duration of free governments."-- Charles Carroll, U.S. Senator and signer of the Declaration of Independence
"Peace, prosperity, liberty and morals have an intimate connection."-- Thomas Jefferson, to George Logan, 1813
"Political interest [can] never be separated in the long run from moral right."-- Thomas Jefferson
When will the Paulistinians and, for that matter, the Tea Party realize that social issues ARE NOT seperate from fiscal ones???
Good God I could go nuts over this. People MUST realize that one cannot be social moderate or liberal but fiscally conservative. It simply cannot be done & I believe this is the reason the Tea Party has been losing steam. They refuse to embrace social issues.
God will not allow us to solve our financial woes until we stop with the moral rot.
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge or gallantry would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other."-- John Adams
The idea that only money matters matter is ultra materialism.
