My Marine Corps served Pabst Blue ribbon on tap in the slop chutes.....after all these years I still drink it as my first beer choice!

Always wondered why I liked Pabst Blue Ribbon. Sort of a mediocre beer but for some reason it appealed to me. You reminded me ... I was drinking this stuff in the slop chutes at Camp Geiger and Camp Lejeune way back in the mid-1960's. It must have been a 3.2 beer because I remember drinking pitchers of this stuff and hardly getting a buzz.

At “Stumps” in the late 60’s it went down like water....course it was 120* outside in the shade with no shade to be found......lololol... besides you’re right that it was 3.2 beer....I think Pabst is still made the way it was in the early 20th century. pretty heavy hop flavor....Used to be just a few national brewers.....A/Busch and Pabst beibg the top two...Prohibition changed things around forever.... the top two....
