Fourth or fifth is a distinction without a difference when it is by only a hundred votes or so. It’s obviously a tie between the two and both are on the block to do well in SC. I think Newt is probably done after the Bain deal, Romney hit him hard on it in his victory speech saying that Newt was using the “politics of envy.”

Newt is getting squeezed out, that’s the problem.

The libertarians have Paul. The moderates have Romney. The Conservatives have Santorum.

Newt draws from all the buckets, but the only folks voting for him are those over 65. That’s it.

That’s the only demographic where he really stands out from the crowd. This is why I’ve been pushing for us to get behind Santorum and consolidate the conservative vote against Romney. Santorum consistantly draws from Conservatives moreso than Newt.

Romney lied about creating 1000’s of jobs.

Newt is exposing that lie and Conservatives are thankful that Newt is exposing the LIAR.
