Are you certain? There IS a Democrat primary (Obama running unopposed). Only Republican and "Unaffiliated" registered voters are allowed in the GOP primary, though you can do a "same-day" re-registration (which pretty much defeats the purpose of registering by party)

Doesn’t matter what she said. The deadline for registered Democrats to change their registration to vote in the GOP primary was in October.
