Hang on. Mississippi has some of the worst and most corrupt prosecutors in the nation. There have been quite a few bogus murder convictions. Hopefully, thats whats going on here.
There have been very questionable convictions down there. There's a DA named Allgood who has already had FOUR convicted murderers turn out to be innocent. And there are others still in prison.
If a couple of these were among them, Barbour might be absolutely justified. I'd hate to think he's just doing this because they made friends on their work detail.
Tell me, how could this possibly be a questionable conviction? Either he did it or didn't, and he was convicted. Is there a defense for this I'm not aware of?

July 2nd, 1993, Gatlin turned himself in to authorities after he admitted killing his estranged wife, Tammy Ellis Gatlin and shooting/wounding Randy Walker.
