The United States has reportedly released three high-ranking Taliban leaders from Guantanamo Bay Prison in return for an American soldier Couldn't we offer them Obozo and Minnie the Moocher instead? That would be a win-win. No backs!
To: Cardhu
That move will cost a lot more than the 1 soldier repatriated.

... stressing that their transfer to Qatar is a breach of Afghanistan's sovereignty, Afghan laws or the Afghan constitution. ...yeah, uh, it's a violation of ONE of those things - we just haven't figured out which one yet...

I’ll wait for a credible source report on this. Press TV is the National Press of Iran. Not interested in any BS from their Baghdad Bob News Division.

The 2001 US-led invasion of Afghanistan has claimed numerous civilian lives and destroyed the country's infrastructure.WTF? No mention whatsoever of the Taliban's involvement harboring Al Qaeda, or allowing it's country to be used as a training ground for terrorists, never mind culpability in the 9-11 attacks. Only that we invaded, killed their civilains and destroyed their infrastructure?
Typical

Hi,
I’m not sure where to post this, but can somebody give an opinion about the Uyghurs who are still at Gitmo? Apparently everybody agrees these people are guilty of no crime, yet five of them are still at the prison. To me this doesn’t sound fair. Can someone weigh in on this — I only heard about it today. Thanks.
