Lets’ be fair to Ron Paul. HIs thinking on the domestic issues is SPOT ON. There should be an important place for him in a conservative administration, but not president...

But, what he says on our personal freedoms, is true....

Newt gets 30 seconds. Back to another 5 minutes of Romney. Newt makes more sense in 30 seconds than Romney can ever muster.

Has disclosure of Mitt's Bain Capital ties to NBC been posted on this thread yet?

"Schultz said on last night’s show. “Now, we want to disclose that NBC Universal and Bain Capital are each a part owner of the Weather Channel. Bain Capital`s main business model is buying companies like American Pad and Paper and restructuring them. In many instances, Bain turned a profit by strip-mining these companies. American -- AMPAD is what it`s known. The stock was driven down and the company went bankrupt. They fired hundreds of workers along the way.”

Mitt may claim to not be involved in Bain, but many of the owners and stockholders are his buddies and fellow mormons.

Mitt and NBC

An eyeopening indepth look at Mitt's Bain Capital Here

"Yeah, that’s correct. I mean, the first thing is, it’s not an investment firm, as someone just said. An investment firm is something where you make an investment. It’s a buyout firm. In 1984, he was tapped to set up a — what began as a venture capital spin-off of a management consulting firm in Boston called Bain & Company. And Bain Capital began with these small investments in what were then startup companies, but very quickly, within a year or two, it became what’s known as a leveraged buyout company. They would put up a million dollars or so and borrow ten or twenty or fifty more and buy into troubled companies and then strip assets and lay off workers and close factories and do whatever they needed to do, charge enormous fees and sell it as quickly as possible.

Over the years, by the time he took a leave of absence in 1999, they had bought and sold more than a hundred companies. And it’s a little difficult to figure out how many jobs were lost or how many jobs were created, and I’m sure that overall there was probably a net gain in jobs in that period, but there are a number of cases that I was able to track where they did close companies, close factories, where they made staggering profits in the hundreds of millions of dollars, shortly before companies crashed off into bankruptcy".

That Mitt, what a nice guy. /sarc

One of the things I like about Newt is the fact that he’s unflappable. He’s been the prime target of the leftist MSM before and knows how to handle it.

I hope Huntsman wins New Hampshire.

Wouldn’t THAT throw a wrench into Willards’ plans?

Then Santorum or Newt Takes S. Carolina, Santorum or Newt takes Florida.....just keep this sucker going all the way to the convention so that the veneer will be removed and the G.O.P. elites can pick Romney and show all of us supposedly in their base exactly who and what they are.

Liberal.

Then we can stop this charade and get on with creating a second party to challenge the Republocrats in 2016. As our first Presidential ticket I humbly suggest Palin/Cain.

I will repeat myself....

The plan MUST be for Newt to live to play another day. He needs to whittle it down to him and Romney. It would be good for Romney also, because as it stands now, Romney will not take it Obama in a debate. The depth of knowledge comes from his business and his religion.

Newt on the other hand has beliefs that are factored as mine are.

One on one will contrast the difference between these two people.

In defense of Newt he started out his campaign totally going after zero.It worked. He rose like a rocket.Romney saw Newt rise, panicked, and went negative with his super pac. Newt started to dive and had to do something but Aholllll Romney started all the negativity.

Gospel of earmarks and hypocrisy is more like it.

Hmmm.

I don’t know how to rate this one.

Newt was good, but not as good as he has been... though it IS refreshing to hear somebody speak the truth at one of these things.

Romney maintained the status quo. Didn’t fail. Didn’t excel.

Ron Paul was not as much of a raving lunatic as he was last night, which means he was just a lunatic. I wish he would retire... retroactively.

Rick Perry came off like a Newt-wannabe and did NOTHING to stand out.

Santorum was boring and uninspiring, as usual.
