It’s becoming incresaingly clear that at one point in December, Newt had an excellent chance to beat Romney. That’s why the GOP-E, Romney and the MSM all went after him simultaneously. In the meantime, they were scared that a Peery or Bachmann could catch fire from Newt’s votes so they picked the most boring conservative in the group and started telling us about the “Santorum surge.” Now Newt is lying on the field bleeding and Santorum is fighting a gun battle with water pistol. This race was over in December. Newt led SC by 20 points...now Romney leads. Stick a fork in us boys and kiss the ring of the new McCain.
I agree with most of what you said, but I refuse to admit defeat so early on.
