You use those words because you don’t want Mitt. You want a principled conservative to win. That’s great. So do I. But it’s not gonna happen in the culture we live in. Not for a long long time, if ever. Again, I understand that some conservatives don’t care about losing as long as they get their nominee. Point proven to who again?. . . Oh, the media and the GOP. That will be a big help in the next 4 years as we see this country completely fail drip by drip under Obama. This president is no Clinton, no Carter, no FDR, combined. It’s much worse than that. Good luck with your principles. I’m thinking about my kids & future grandkids.
Without principles, we have nothing.
Are we a different country than we were in 1980? Well, yes we are. But so what? Obama and his Marxist minions have sent the country on a downward spiral. There is no better time than today to remind the voting population of the differences between collectivism and conservatism. If we can't win that argument today, then we are in an irreversible spiral. You concede that spiral already exists. I don't believe it does.
What you want is to surrender to someone who, in the big picture, offers very little difference from Obama. They are both statists. That being the case, I'll take my chances with the uncharismatic conservative. I believe the voting population has had enough with charisma (and hope and change) over the past three years. We listened to your BS four years ago, and we ended up with someone who couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. Been there, done that. No thanks.
You may see benefits from adopting a surrender monkey posture on the upcoming election. I'm not a surrender monkey so I hope you'll excuse me if I don't behave like one.
