I told the author that at around 2:15pm when I posted the video, that the You Tube view count was 312.

As I type this, on my puter the view count @ 10:42pm CST for the video reads 312!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SAME 312 COUNT like the last time I viewed it when I sent the link to my second batch of email friends and that was hours back.

I saw this also. I googled that issue. Apparently, when YouTube sees the view count of a video rising quickly, they pause the counter to confirm that the views are legitimate. According to Google while the counter is paused, the stats are still accumulated & updated after verification.
