Its Newt, Santorum is currently peaking not because of anything he’s done, just that he’s the last guy at the dance. Newt is the A lister of the two, and with Santorum and Newt both in the race, the conservative vote will split, and neither will top Romney and Romney will be the nominee.

I would support either of them personally if they are the nominee, but I also do not believe Santorum will be able to carry a national campaign and will be evicerated quickly now that he has the spotlight.

I personally believe there are, and have only been 2 first tier candidates in this cycle on the republican side, Newt and Romney.. Romney is no conservative, but like it or not, he’s in the top teir, the only other one is Newt, everyone else is not at the same level politically or personally.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but as long as there are 2 ‘non-romneys’ left, Romney will likely be the nominee. Taking him out was going to be a herculean task from the get go, but as long as the non-romney vote can be split it will be and that will allow romney the win for sure.

Seen any "Romney '12" signs in your neighborhood?
