I used to think that I would pull the R lever no matter what, but not for Romney. We in CA know how much damage a full-blown RINO can do. A president Romney would destroy the GOP and conservatism along with the country.

If Romney wins the presidency:
1. The establishment will think that conservatives are their beyotch and never take us seriously again.
2. Since the Party in the WH usually loses seats in the mid-terms, expect the House to go back to the dims.
3. The midterm losses will cause Romney to triangulate and oppose conservatives in an attempt to be re-elected.
4. Chances are that Romney’s veep will NOT succeed him. That means no other GOPer will be prez for 12-16 years.
5.When Romney proves no better than 0bama, people will turn on the GOP in general and say if ‘I’m going to get a big gov’t/big spender, I might as well vote for the dems, and not be stigmatized.’

No Romney. Not Now. Not in November.

I am NOT promoting Myth Rotten. I am promoting an (R) in the WH. Any (R) in the WH is better than any (D) in the WH, most especially 0bama.

Your stats aren’t exactly correct. For Presidents with less than 50% approval, the loss averages 34 seats. For those above 50% the average is 14 seats. GW was 63 approval and had a gain of 6 in 02, and a 38 with a loss of 30 in 06, for example.

This election, more than any other in my 59 years, exemplifies why the makeup of Congress is so very important.

So if it’s Romney Rino vs Obama, you seem to be content to let President Obeyme and his pack of Greedy Liberals destroy the country for another 4 years?

Unacceptable under any conditions. Period. The country & economy can’t survive another 4 years of this crap.

Do you really think marginalizing the conservative movement for 4 years to some degree under a RINO would be worse than outright destruction of the American Economy?

If it comes to that after the primaries (RINO vs. Obama), we have to be pragmatic.

Not voting against Obama is a vote FOR Obama.
