Personally, I don’t have any problem with Rick for making such a comment.
Today I watched an interview of Rick about this on CNN. Rick denied saying the word “black” on CNN.
Then I listened to the below video. I am truly hearing impaired, but to me, it sure sounds like he said “black”, and if that is the case, he has been trapped in a lie. If he did lie, the blacks are going to tear him into bite size pieces.
Perhaps you and others can hear this video better and come to a different conclusion as to what he said.

Now for the video ~ this is quite interesting. It's been edited to shorten up the time from the strange sound (without meaning) to the next "people" ~ such that the first utterance of "people" isn't there! He was shown last evening on the earliest tape to say "...garble.... People, people".
Remember the giant Chinese missile being fired off the West Coast off toward Hawaii or the Aleutians?
That was another CBS production ~ they actually cut and spiced the video to tell a story that NEVER happened. There was no missile!
Well, what you have here is another CBS production ~ Santorum didn't say "black" ~ but CBS has cut and spliced the video to make it seem more like he did.
There's some editing done earlier on the piece that has several chops ~ which take the sound totally out of sequence with the picture.
Might look that one over 25 or 30 times until you notice that.
It's MORE RATHER ONE MO TIME!
I listened to it full volume a few times and I didn’t get “black” out of it. It sounds garbled to me. At best he said “Blah” as he was shifting thoughts or words.
I believe that the MSM and Media Matters have been scouring tapes for moments like this to paint the doubt of racism on Conservatives.
