I don’t think she’ll get VP since 5% she isn’t much of a drawer anymore but something in his admin. but I could be wrong.
“If Rick can be affable as he was in his speech last night, then he will continue to attract voters.”
Wow, that was a tremendous speech! I hadn’t seen too much of Santorum, but I’m 100% behind him now!
I think there’ll be a big grassroots push for him here in SC.
(BTW, I’d encourage all Santorum fans to “Share” that speech link on Facebook.)
According to the masses here at FR, there isn't a true conservative in the race! I've seen many (even on this thread) calling Gingrich, Santorum, Perry all RINOs or worse.
The problem is the demand for 100% ideological adherence to some unstated, ever-shifting standard being required - or you're out as a "conservative".

You'd better go watch this speech. I think it showcases every characteristic you listed above.
Santorum '12!!!
First Romney, then Obama.
(I'm more bummed every day that Mitch Daniels dropped out. We need someone that controls and cuts spending, and sat in a Governor's seat. In the long list of GOP names, he was one of the few that met those two small and crucial criteria.)
5% isn’t much, but she can give Romney the “Tea Party/conservate” creds he lacks, and he’ll need those to get through super Tuesday alive.
“Only Huntsman supporters will break for Mittens.”
Let me rephrase that for you:
“Huntsman’s only supporter will break for Mittens.”

You are correct. I was going to write: “The 3 Huntsman supporters will go to Mittens” but I felt that was too generous a statement. XD
We cant WIN with a true conservative. Dont settle when we can have a true conservative.
We won with Reagan. Unfortunately, we don't have a true conservative in the race who is also a governor or former governor. Unless Perry is the guy . . .If it's Santorum, it's just a question of whether the electorate will be as fed up with Obama as it was with Woodrow Wilson back in the day. Because the last time a Senator beat a sitting president was in 1920 . . .
either santorum or gingrich need to leave the race because they are splitting the anti-romney votes. The rest should just quit.
In 2008, Santorum gave the most unbelievable endorsement of....ROMNEY! I couldn’t believe what I read the other day as to what he said about Romney in his endorsement. It was sickening, to be sure! ... and all becuase he didn’t want McCain to be the nominee! Unbelievable!
None of the three have been top-tier Presidents, and it's esay to see why. Senators have NO executive responsibility. Their job is to BS, pass the buck, and cut deals.
None of these skills is useful to the nation in a chief executive (although they may be useful to his reelection).
I pretty much would not vote for a congressman or Senator for the President unless they had other, relevant experience (three-star or above, or CEO) prior to service in Congress.
Wilson was not running in 1920.....
Nonetheless, I believe the hand writing is clearly on the wall for her and she will not do any better, and will not be able to afford to really try...except by putting herself and family in abject debt to do so, and to no avail IMHO. Perhaps her husband had a heart to heart with her last night, and perhaps her campaign managers as well.
I hope she endorses Santorum...which would help him in NH. If not, I'd like to see her support Perry or Gingrich. But we shall see.
I think the bottom tier candidates are just avoiding mitt in order to be on the VP short list.
***I’d like to see her support Perry or Gingrich. But we shall see.***
Isn’t Perry returning to Texas to assess his campaign?
I have. He’s good for me, but not for the brainwashed masses who will be voting. The social issues we face today are nothing in comparison to what we faced then. Too many voters who don’t share his value system anymore. And he is much too clear about what they are to win a national election. Not for me, but for most.
“Well in a fair world that might happen, but unfortunately Mitt had enough zombies last night to fight another day.”
In a way, I regret that Mitt supporters have seemingly been banished from FR. I would like to hear their justifications for voting for the man. The people who support Huntsman make the usual noises like “we need a moderate to win! Conservatives can never win anything! Blah, blah, blah” (in SPITE of last year’s elections, mind you) - but Mitt isn’t RUNNING as a moderate so they couldn’t use that as a reason.
So what is it? Do they like the guy’s hair? Do the women think he’s handsome? Does someone, somewhere, somehow actually understand what he says... and believe him?
