Oh jeeze....man up a little, will ya?
Though Colme's crack about 'playing' was indeed tacky, you have to admit that taking a dead baby home is just this side of ghoulish.
I think it weird when little kids are being encouraged to lean over into a coffin to kiss Grannie goodbye, but this is beyond that.
Now you may disagree, but you ought to be able to see Mariner's point without thinking its some outrageous, out-of-bounds and 'oustable' comment.
“....you have to admit that taking a dead baby home is just this side of ghoulish.”
.
Perhaps not, if you consider that the dead child was thought of as being part of the Santorum family. Bringing the child home gave the other children the chance to see their dead sibling and say goodbye.
It also taught the children a lesson in respect for a dead human being — something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. These children will not grow up as members of the “pro-choice” generation.
