The two sides in Syria are the Alawite-dominate Ba'ath Socialists and the Muslim Brotherhood. Neither are Israel's friends. A weakened Baathist Syria is likely prefferable to encirclement by the Muslim Brotherhood. Iran, on the other hand, is a threat to Israel. But a nuclear Iran is also a threat to the US. I guess "Death to America" is fine for some, as long as Tel Aviv goes first.
David Duke and his ilk hate Israel more than they love America.
