She "realized" she was carrying a pistol!? What, she put on the pants and just found it in her pocket like a folded twenty?
Who here has ever been out and suddenly "realized" that he was carrying a sidearm? Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?
“Who here has ever been out and suddenly “realized” that he was carrying a sidearm?”
It was a .32. There are some pretty lightweight .32’s on the market. She likely had it in a purse with a bunch of other stuff. They make purses with holster compartments that carry a gun properly. The weight of a light .32 would not be noticeable. So, “out of sight, out of mind” till something reminds you of it...like a mugger or a sign.

No one. But that is also why I carry on my person and not in my purse or just leave it in the car (I know people who do). My gun is where I can control it at all times.
Happens all the time to people who carry daily.
Brother-in-law was stopped at the metal detector at the airport. Showed his cc card and the friendly cop let him take the gun back to his car and still make the plane.
Two months later he got a ticket in the mail for $1200.
An aquaintance of his did the same thing a year later and they through him in jail.
I feel bad for the woman, she is not a criminal except for stupid N.Y. thugs treating her as one (if she were an illegal or muslim they probably wouldn't bother her). We all have our Bueller moments. One time years ago, I went through the metal detector at our Hall of Justice (San Francisco Police headquarters, Sheriffs' jail, court facilities), after safely going through I realized I was carrying a large folded pocket knife. Yikes, something wrong with the metal detector. I then promptly left the building. Stupid is one thing; drawing attention to it is worse.
You must not carry every day. I do.
Pants. Wallet, watch, cell phone, gun.
Every day.
