Mr. Santorum brought in $704,199 for the three-month period that ended Sept. 30, and spent $743,757. By the end of the quarter, his campaign was left with $189,557 in the bank.
Mr. Santorum, who represented Pennsylvania, has struggled to gain traction in the race and is concentrating some of his efforts in Iowa, where he hopes to appeal to social conservatives who dominate the voting at Republican caucuses in that state.”
