Reporting from Perry, Iowa Defending himself against charges of isolationism, Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul told voters in Iowa on Thursday that western sanctions against Iran are "acts of war" that are likely to lead to an actual war in the Middle East.
Paul, one of the leading contenders to win next week's Iowa caucuses, said Iran would be justified in responding to the sanctions by blocking the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz. He compared the western sanctions to a hypothetical move by China to block the Gulf of Mexico, which Americans would consider an act of war

Thanks for a great laugh! I was needing one. The son must be horribly embarrassed by the “Perils of Paul”, Ron the father! I am. Utterly embarrassed. How DID this nincompoop make our side of the aisle, as a candidate for prez no less.
His support is right out of the OWLS/Axelrod playbook.
There is nothing keeping us from doing that. Only people thinking, knowing history, and refusing to be intellectually lazy will prevent it.
Dick Morris said last night that Paul is even more far left then Obama, scary isn’t it..as far left as Obama is Paul is even further left, if that is at all possible. Ron Paul is a libertarian, how the hell is this guy allowed to run as a Republican, he’s NOT a Republican
Rue Paul needs a couple of nukes to gain street cred.
Keep talking Ron. It good that the voters know what kind of kook you are.
>>...western sanctions against Iran are “acts of war”
How is that?
Don’t we have the freedom to do business and allow visits from people we choose?
If sanctions, to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power, is an act of war, then let us have a little war.
Ron Paul is a great patriot to the Islamic Republic of Iran. His steadfast defense of the Islamic dictatoral regime and his fight against the American Imperialist to secure their right to nuclear weapons shows how strongly he stands by his principles. His pusuit of terrorist rights is second to none. Even Code Pink can not hold a candle to Ron Paul as being a friend to dictators and terrorists and all anti-American forces across the globe.
So it seems he is even more liberal and defeatist than even Obama, and he is supposedly a “Republican”. A nightmare scenario: he gets nomination by the party, and then all normal republicans have to vote for Zero.
Wow another trip to the frig for me. This might be a six pack day. What a country.
Who let Mother Sheehan out of the asylum?
I wonder, the few Paul supporters who are actually sane, do they ever sit there and listen to the words coming out of his mouth or do they just look at him and go “Awwwwww, he’s so charismatic and charming” kind of like the way people looked at Obama in 2008, without listening to his WORDS. Ron Paul is a nightmare for the GOP, the GOP’s worst nightmare. If the GOP wanted to see what a nightmare scenario would be like this is it, if Ron Paul gets the nomination its over for the GOP. If the GOP has any sense left they will make sure this guy doesn’t have ANY chance at getting the nomination
Title on thread: Ron Paul: Sanctions against Iran are ‘acts of war’
You state that the title should be: Ron Paul: Sanctions against Iran are ‘acts of war’
Ok, H, I am missing the difference.
" Paul tells Voters Sanctions Against Iran Act of War Mullahs Need Nukes 2 Gain Respect From Israel "
had to be replaced with the original published title. Please do not make up your own title nor edit any published title. Just use the original published title.
After you have copied and pasted in the complete original title, and only if there is room, you may then place your personal comment in parentheses next to the title.
Thanks.
After the election he will do a Stelazine commercial
“Ever wonder what happens when people dont take their psychosis-eliminating drugs? Watch one of my campaign interviews and see!”
