Hey stranger. Time will tell. BTW, welcome home! (I think).
Gov. Perry's in it to WIN -- for Faith, Jobs and FREEDOM.
Perry’s paraphrase of John Nance Garner comes to mind: “The vice-presidency isn’t worth a bucket of warm [spit].” Not sure he’d take it.
B/S!!! We are getting suckered by the media.
It should be noted that Rick P is up 2 points since the last poll and 7 points since the beginning of the month.
The polls are one thing....the caucuses another.
Just saw Rasmussen has Perry and Gingrich tied in Iowa.
I'm with you - I've not veered from my support for Perry - because I support candidates that I'VE chosen myself. I've never let the polls tell me who to support.
There's a lot of FReepers that are bouncing from candidate to candidate like pinballs. LOL!
Thanks! Yes, I'm home for a bit - much needed! I'll be headed back over before too long.
Happy New Year to you and yours!
I have given up following the Iowa numbers. Any group of Republicans who put Ron Paul at the top at any time, is not worth my consideration. I just don’t care what that outcome is.
Romney will likely win NH. I think our candidates will start shining with S. Carolina, Florida, and beyond - Paul will be in the dust by that time.
Gov. Perry lookin’ better and better to me.
It was near (but the required feet away from a voting place)My spouse drove down the street and saw McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden signs.Upon doing their errand the next time they drove by the McCain/Palin signs were all gone and replaced with Obama ones. It was a college and a place to vote on campus and moveon.org had jobs in the local paper for 10 an hour.It was always suspected Obama thugs removed the signs. Also rumored that free things were promised to college students that were busy and not looking interested in voting to go vote a straight dem party ticket.
mikhailovich, glad you agree. I’m sick of the Iowa crap.
Back Atcha. Here’s hoping 2012 is a great one-for Freepers, family and the country.
Can you help me understand why a man who isn’t very “smart” (straight from many GOP/Conservatives who live in Texas) would be able to earn the trust of the American people?
Can you help me understand why a man who is a career politician with no executive experience other than being a governor would qualify to be POTUS?
Can you give me one reason why the American people would vote for another governor from Texas?
From Reuters: 12/29/11
“But after poor debate performances, Perry lost ground. A CNN/Time Iowa poll this week showed him in fifth place with 11 percent, below Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich.
The poor poll numbers come despite Perry trying to promote his social conservative credentials in a series of ads, including one in which he attacked gays in the military. He also has taken a harder line on abortion in a play to Iowa’s large evangelical Christian constituency.”
But I still like his bravado and pistol packin’ jogging routines!
And I’m not a Santorum supporter, much as I like his stands.
VP position is useless: I agree with you. But sometimes VPs end up in the top job.
