Who do you support that has not been a professional politician...dying to know here?

I guess your eyes went bad on you when you tried to read the words, eight years as a cotton farmer and 5 years in the Air Force.

Too bad...but your eyes are acting a little strangely to be able to read certain words you want to attack and unable to read other pertinent words right next to ‘em, that you’d rather cover up.

Pity.

I’ll stack Rick Perry’s military service, farming labor and Texas political executive record against anyone of the others running (and their years of writing laws and/or supporting big government mandates).

This is easy...

Let’s start from the middle....

“I guess your eyes went bad on you when you tried to read the words, eight years as a cotton farmer and 5 years in the Air Force.”

No, I read just fine... He fulfilled 5 years of the 6 year military obligation ALL US males are subject to....even I did more years than he.... actually serving my full 6 year obligation. No special credit there as far as I can see, but it seems you would like me to bow down before his service as special/better than others that have served....nope.

Yep, easier to work on daddy’s farm for 8 years than to find/start a career of his own. But he did eventually....he found politics, and has spent the bulk of his following years as a career politician. Even breaking George Washington’s tradition of only serving 2 terms as a chief executive.....

“Who do you support that has not been a professional politician...dying to know here?”

Aye, there’s the rub! And the crux of the problem.....way too many career politicians in state and federal government....as the man said “power corrupts, absolute power currupts absolutely”.....the electing of the same tired face politicians again and again, until they are stuck like a tick in the body politic, is a cycle we need to break, and get back to the Founder’s orignal intent of patriotic citizens serving for a term or two, at the most, and returning to the population.....to resume their private sector careers.

It does not follow that since career politicians are the norm, with disasterious results for the nation, that we should continue, and promote the most egregious of those.....people with long elected resumes......

You are right though, not much choice.... and the reason for my original post....for what you tout as a huge positive for Perry is instead the biggest negetive against him..... and the fact remains that we need to break the cycle of the “ruling class” elected official....people just like Perry...

As JR would say....”rebellion is brewing!”

“Too bad...but your eyes are acting a little strangely to be able to read certain words you want to attack and unable to read other pertinent words right next to ‘em, that you’d rather cover up.”

No ma’am, just went for the meat first.....8 years working for daddy vrs 30 years as a career politician is something even YOU can’t sweep under the table as vast private sector experience.....

The answer to your question is that, unlike Perry supporters who infest other candidate’s thread, with the agenda of promoting Perry, I have no such agenda to promote a particular candidate.

I only point out that Perry is the kind of career politician I’d like to see gone.....and that your touting his long entrenched elected service is a much larger negetive than you imagine for many people.

Perry’s poll numbers reflect that......he’s become 2012’s.... 2008 Mitt Romney, and appears headed for the “also ran” bin, stuck at 10%, because neither you, nor he, have made a viable case for his election as CIC........

So who will I vote FOR?????? No-one, as it appears I’ll be stuck voting AGAINST Obama/the Democrats again.

None of this makes me a very happy camper.......
