A taste of the coming election. A lot of lefties who profess they are upset with Bammy will ultimately vote for him. They view the silly two month SS tax reduction as a major victory - for no logical reason, except ‘he won’. The lefties will always flock back to him. Best bet is to distract them with shiney objects on election day.
And no thanks to those evil Republican obstructionists, as the media has relentlessly hammered home.
The Republican party is at least partially to blame, due to its inability or unwillingness to get out front with its message. You would think it had been asked to defend the indefensible, and I just don't get it.
