My point was “free trade” has made China a technologically capable growing and rather dictatorial adversary capable of quickly exploiting technology and manufacturing.
That is what America was once capable of.
You know. The Manhattan Project.
Apollo. The moon landing. The things which illustrated to us, and the world, America is a great country.
We gave those things away - to a huge communist nation.
What could possibly go wrong.
I get it. We need to adopt the Chinese model. We just need a little more government diktat and we will be fine.
China isn’t quick about anything. What is it you think they are quick with. Rail? Wow they can kill their people with impunity while they experiment with getting high speed rail right.
Great model to pick. By the way the Chinese have yet to put a man on the moon and it has been 50 years...real quick.
The bomb? The one were we took the secrets from the Germans? the on that North Korea, India, and Pakistan all have? Not sure that means they are great and we are weak.
I am tired of all the China scaremongering which can all be solved by giving up my freedoms and letting Obama and Geithner solve our problems.
China is simply taking advantage of the problems we have created for ourselves. Lets focus on the here and now. Lets drill, frack, build, invest, buy, and sell freely and let each individual keeps the rewards of his own efforts free from government interference. do that and China will be a footnote and just a highly useful supplier to our Liberty loving Capitalist machine.
