The Real Story Behind Rev. Wright's Controversial Black Liberation Theology Doctrine
Monday , May 5, 2008
FoxNews/Hannity's America
[special Friday night edition--original airdate May 2, 2008]

(some key excerpts)

["(Jose) Diaz-Balart is the son of Rafael Diaz-Balart y Guitierrez (a former Cuban politician). He has three bothers, Rafael Diaz-Balart (a banker), Mario Diaz-Balart (a US Congressman) and Lincoln Diaz-Balart (also a US Congressman). His aunt, Mirta Diaz-Balart, was Fidel Castro's first wife."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jose_Diaz-Balart]

JOSE DIAZ-BALART, TELEMUNDO NETWORK: "Liberation theology in Nicaragua in the mid-1980's was a pro-Sandinista, pro-Marxist, anti-U.S., anti-Catholic Church movement. That's it. No ifs, ands, or buts. His church apparently supported, in the mid-'80s in Nicaragua, groups that supported the Sandinista dictatorships and that were opposed to the Contras whose reason for being was calling for elections. That's all I know. I was there.

I saw the churches in Nicaragua that he spoke of, and the churches were churches that talked about the need for violent revolution and I remember clearly one of the major churches in Managua where the Jesus Christ on the altar was not Jesus Christ, he was a Sandinista soldier, and the priests talked about the corruption of the West, talked about the need for revolution everywhere, and talked about 'the evil empire' which was the United States of America."

REV. BOB SCHENCK, NATIONAL CLERGY COUNCIL: "it's based in Marxism. At the core of his [Wright's] theology is really an anti-Christian understanding of God, and as part of a long history of individuals who actually advocate using violence in overthrowing those they perceive to be oppressing them, even acts of murder have been defended by followers of liberation theology. That's very, very dangerous."

SCHENCK: "I was actually the only person escorted to Dr. Wright. He asked to see me, and I simply welcomed him to Washington, and then I said Dr. Wright, I want to bring you a warning: your embrace of Marxist liberation theology. It is contrary to the Gospel, and you need, sir, to abandon it. And at that he dropped the handshake and made it clear that he was not in the mood to dialogue on that point."

Obama's Church: Gospel of Hate
Kathy Shaidle, FrontPageMag.com
Monday, April 07, 2008

In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obama’s pastor in a heated interview about his Church’s teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"...

Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

Catholics for Marx [Liberation Theology]
By Fr. Robert Sirico
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, June 03, 2004

In the days when the Superpowers were locked in a Cold War, Latin America seethed with revolution, and millions lived behind an iron curtain, a group of theologians concocted a novel idea within the history of Christianity. They proposed to combine the teachings of Jesus with the teachings of Marx as a way of justifying violent revolution to overthrow the economics of capitalism.

The Gospels were re-rendered not as doctrine impacting on the human soul but rather as windows into the historical dialectic of class struggle. These "liberation theologians" saw every biblical criticism of the rich as a mandate to expropriate the expropriating owners of capital, and every expression of compassion for the poor as a call for an uprising by the proletarian class of peasants and workers.

Tonight on the radio the evening host had a fake ad:

“This broadcast is brought to you by Mrs. Paul’s Fish Sticks. Crusty on the outside, flaky on the inside. Mrs. Ron Paul’s Fish Sticks.” I was laughing so hard I nearly hit the center divider.

Seen from abroad, the orchestrated campaign against Ron Paul is pretty shocking. He’s insane, a racist and now he shares the same foreign policy views as Jeremiah Wright - when perhaps Thomas Jefferson (no forign entanglements) would be closer to the truth. What’s this need to demonize? Why don’t they just debate the issues? It’s obvious the man loves America and hates big Govt. For his position on the FED alone, he deserves more respect. All the other candidates were either sleeping or on the take when he was warning about the incestuous relationship between Big Money and Dirty Politics. That doesn’t mean he’s right on everything or should be elected, but it does mean that he doesn’t deserve to be demonized and likened to a Chicago Thug Preacher.

There is no nefarious campaign orchestrated against rubber room boy. The crap he spewed years ago is simply being brought back to light for those who missed it the first time. There is nothing made up here - this is who he is and has been.

You are both right on the money. I've been tracking down the newsletters, and Paul is definitely not PC. Every time I've been able to look at the complete original newsletter, the smear has been a half truth.

While my research thus far leads me to believe that Ron Paul is naive regarding the most basic motivation of Jihadis, consider the following:

GW kept reminding us that 'Islam is a religion of 'peace'. Never mentioned that Islam is a total political system and peace is achieved when there is a world wide caliphate under Sharia.

Ultimately Paul's foreign policy would be better for both Israel and Christianity.

While Israel would get no foreign aid, neither would its enemies:
2011 Interview

Newsmax: What should our relationship be with Israel?
Ron Paul:
We should be their friend and their trading partner. They are a democracy and we share many values with them. But we should not be their master. We should not dictate where their borders will be nor should we have veto power over their foreign policy.
... Stop and consider America’s policy: We give $3 billion a year to Israel in loans; and we give $12 billion or more in assistance to Israel’s self-declared enemies. Some of these are countries that say they will drive Israel into the sea.
... We should share intelligence for mutually agreed-upon goals. We should honor our pledge to refuse any arms sales that would undermine Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region.

As a result of nation building, promoting 'democracy' in the middle east, and PC immigration:

Iraq's Christians Near Extinction

Per Pamela Geller "US policy regarding the refugee resettlement program would shock most Americans if they only knew. The UN picks who becomes US refugees. Christians are being refused refugee status and face persecution and many times certain death for their religious beliefs under the sharia, while whole Muslim communities are entering the US by the tens of thousands per month despite the fact that they face no religious persecution"

Paul would stop funding the UN and pull us out of all treaties that impinge upon our sovereignty. His proposed budget would shut down entire federal bureaucracies while preserving military retirement. Is this what has the political elite so p*ssed?

Jeremiah Wright is a Christian. Ron Paul may be a Muslim.

If this is true because Wright claims it's so, without taking apparent actions that one can discern, then I'm formally declaring myself a multi-millionaire and going on a shopping spree.

I think the establishment is more worried about Ron Paul, than about Gingrich.

And they certainly are worried about Gingrich.

My opinion of Paul rises the more the establishment tries to smear him.

Same with Gingrich. Though the smears against Gingrich seem to be from Romney. The wider establishment is after Paul.

No it’s not orchestrated... there’s no MSM playing Republicans like a fiddle. And anyway what’s the big deal? Ron Paul’s foreign policy has a few things in common with Jeremiah Wright... when legs were tingling with hope and change for the Democrat who had that same sage Black Supremecist as his spiritual advisor for twenty years.

Nothing orchestrated, nothing to look at.

Smear campaign. But maybe you’re too close to see it. And the whole election is gradually shifting into negative territory, where the actual issues get lost by the wayside.

The two big issues are Government (size and scope - meaning spending) and foreign policy - meaning ALSO and undeniably UNintended consequences. And there have undeniably been many. Are they worth the cost in blood and treasure? What’s the ultimate goal? Democracy in the middle east? Maintaining the status quo? Lots of inconclusive wars?

I wouldn’t even be for Ron Paul, but he’s not a madman, crackpot, racist... he’s a legitimate candidate with a legitimate following and with opinions that need to be discussed.

Concerning the FED in particular, this man whom many are now calling mad, was spot on - while everyone else was sleeping or on the take.

Unless the other candidates state what their foreign policy end game is... none is credible.

The foreign policy of the Obama regime is to take down secular dictators to replace them with Islamic extremists.
