(VA Lieutenant Governor)

Just as Virginia Democrats did earlier this month for President Barack Obama, Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling Friday will submit the documents necessary to get Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney on Virginia’s March 6 primary ballot.

State law calls on candidates to submit 10,000 voter signatures — at least 400 of them must come from each congressional district in the state — for a candidate to qualify for the presidential ballot.

Bolling, the state chairman of Romney’s Virginia campaign, and Del. Chris Peace of Hanover County will deliver the Romney paperwork to state election officials Friday afternoon.

We’re hearing Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s surrogates will file his paperwork tomorrow and we’ve asked the campaign for comment. The state filing deadline is Thursday at 5 p.m.

In a crowded primary field, Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, is a leading contender for the GOP nomination and the right to challenge Obama for the White House.

He visited Richmond earlier this month for a fundraiser attended by Bolling.

(that is funny that they mentioned Perry)

(from article above)

"Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling Friday will submit the documents"

Friday? Today? Deadline was yesterday. Typo I guess.

Such a strange circumstance. It’s incestuous stuff like this that makes people so sour about politics. Heads they win, tails you lose.
