What a clusterfark.
So far, only Romney and the Romulan are qualified to be on the ballot in the VA primary. Bachmann, Santorum and Huntsman didn’t even try. Gingrich’s signatures are still being validated, and he may or may not qualify. Perry has been disqualified, unless this report turns out to be discredited.
Weird.

Signatures to get on the ballot are just one of many hurdles the elite have put in the way to protect themselves. It usually is just a matter of money, which Perry has/had plenty of, therefore, he seems to have tripped on the first hurdle. It does not speak well for him or his campaign.

“That would leave Romney and Ron Paul on VA Ballot.”
There were a lot of Ron Paul people on the street corners in Ridgeland (Greater Jackson) Mississippi today. I don’t know for what particular reason, but they were out in force promoting their candidate. Very dedicated, all male, mixed races from early 20s to mid 50s in age. They appeared very motivated and confident.
Christmas traffic made for a lot of exposure too.

Well, it doesn’t matter how many signatures were submitted if fewer than 10K are registered VA voters. That is exactly why Romney and Paul submitted 15K or more.
Honestly, if this is true, it makes me sick. Perry’s ground troops let him down, big time. And he has support at the top levels of the RPV. I’ll wait, tho, until I hear from Pat Mullins, Chmn of the RPV, instead of WaPo and ABC echoing WaPo.
I hope these reports are wrong. If Perry is still in the race by March, VA has a very simple write-in, so all is not lost for his camp, tho this wouldn’t help either practically or as a perception of the campaign’s competence.

VA is claiming that less than 10K of those signatures belong to REGISTERED voters. How did they come to that conclusion so fast?

“Maybe Perry will get Amnesty from the VA GOP?”
Perry knew the rules and I doubt they will be willing to bend the rules and use Affirimative Action to help Perry.

All the states should have their primary on the same day. I don’t like other states, the media, or anyone else picking my candidate for me.

What’s also curious is that this VA news is dropped on friday night going into the holidays, on the week before Iowa.
Why drop this news now?
To detract from gains in Iowa? Where Perry is gaining ground?
