The extension of the payroll tax Social Security tax cut is not good at all. The Republicans should have fought it on the grounds that it is not stimulative and that it weakens Social Security.

Why Boehner thought it smart to fight for a year's extension is inexplicable. That he caved means nothing.

Wrong way to fight it. The extension does nothing but continues the current plan through January and February. After that the tax will go up and for the next ten months the paycheck will go down. THE PAY CHECK WILL GO DOWN!!!!! And as things go the communists Democrats and King Obama may not extend for these ten months or he will concede and extend for political gain. If Bonehead had held out for the year and used the discussion that your paycheck would have the same deduction in taxes he would have done something. He is a damn fool. King Obama raised taxes on Real Estate sales and no heavy mention of that.
