“I simply don’t get Boehner. He has the ability to talk the talk and correctly define the issues before the American people. But when faced with even the hint of pressure, he folds like a house of cards. This latest episode defies logic.”
It does -not- defy logic if you accept the premise that the GOP is a FALSE FRONT. It is not a conservative party, it does not promote conservative or even libertarian principals. The GOP is to American Constitutional principles what Vidkun Quisling was to Norwegian national defense.
Accept the premise that it is all a charade and everything the GOP has done for the past decade or two is perfectly logical, consistent and indeed sophisticated.
We have been bamboozled.
