McConnell has to go. He screwed the country in the summer and he screwed the country now. He back stabbed the House twice. He must go. He is Reid's second favorite poodle, second only to Obama.

I simply don't get Boehner. He has the ability to talk the talk and correctly define the issues before the American people. But when faced with even the hint of pressure, he folds like a house of cards. This latest episode defies logic. The GOP House had effectively won. They had correctly pointed out that it was the Senate that had not done its job, and that they were sitting there waiting on the proper course of events to take their course. Obama was looking like an absolute fool in front of the American people, so much so that he had his dog flown back from Hawaii just so he could use him in a photo-op. Yet once again, the GOP snatches defeat out of the jaws of victory.

McConnell is completely worthless. He might as well go ahead and switch parties since he is working for the other side already. It was McConnell that did Obama and Reid's bidding for them.

I say Boehner first, and Cantor. McConnell would never have sent the bill over to the House if he had any idea Boehner could not get it passed. Boehner is inept and incompetent, he may as well polish up that gavel because the way he’s going, he’ll be turning it back over to Nancy Pelosi before long. (Who was FAR more effective in doing the job of Speaker than he is!)

The point of having a Majority is to be able to rally your troops and get things done. Boehner and Cantor are utter failures at that - they’ve screwed up every time they’ve tried. Name one time when Boehner’s great ideas of standing up to the Dems and Obama has worked...just one time!

I am beyond words to describe how ridiculously incompetent these guys are. 11% approval rating? That’s about 10 points too high. To have screwed this up as badly as they have and then come crawling back on their bellies after giving Obama everything he could ask for is grounds for resignation. Let someone with a brain run the House and maybe act like a majority party.

I understand that McConnell is the Minority Leader, but come on! He’s got to show more backbone than that!

If only McConnell was as fierce as Pelosi was when she was Minority Leader in the House. Nice guys finish last.

Well...seems to me this just moves the same argument closer to the election itself. What else has changed?

I'm not purporting to know the political intricacies of this whole maneuver but if you delete the media in full cry and the wailing of the right wing then won't we really will be in the same place in 2 months? And then won't the GOP have the argument that this BS is because the rats refused to deal with it in Dec? In the end both sides will have to make the same arguments but w/o the Christmas holiday staring them down.

And honestly, how many Americans actually believe that we aren't in deep do do and it's the rat's who contributed the majority of the spending that put us here?

I say they accepted the Dem premise that this is a tax cut and were trying to extend it for a year, when it is a DEFUNDING of Social Security. A holiday from FICA was proposed to help the economy, but the time is up; now they want to extend it, the Dems are calling NOT extending it a tax hike, and the Repubs are accepting Dem language, as usual.

If they had any backbone, they would have said no deal. You dems are defunding SS when it is already going broke.

The Repubs simply cannot tell it like it is, maybe because they can't see it like it is.

Now, they are TEMPORARILY (yeah, right!) funding SS with a tax on new mortgages and refinancing, which will be paid Tah Dah!!! --by the haves, while the have nots will not pay a dime.

Looks like another ploy for Income Redistribution to me. Will FICA ever be reinstated? I doubt it. I also doubt the mortgage fee will make up the difference and more "fees" will be instigated elsewhere.

They have been farting around and taking heat over this while letting EPA close coal utilities, putting thousands more out of work and raising electric bills. They are letting the Admin and EPA/treehuggers keep the pipeline from being built and making thousands of jobs.

Are these "leaders" stupid, inept, don't give a fig, or on the shady side?

It does -not- defy logic if you accept the premise that the GOP is a FALSE FRONT. It is not a conservative party, it does not promote conservative or even libertarian principals. The GOP is to American Constitutional principles what Vidkun Quisling was to Norwegian national defense.

Accept the premise that it is all a charade and everything the GOP has done for the past decade or two is perfectly logical, consistent and indeed sophisticated.

We have been bamboozled.

Republicans Implementing Nuances Of Socialism...aka RINOS

These POS slimebags are laughing all the way to their next insider trade.

We could ask them nicely to resign, go back to their families, enjoy the rest of their lives...or 300+ million vs. 535.

More reasons why...

Legislatures (state and federal) could be part-time jobs with 1/10th pay, NO retirement, NO insurance, NO benefits and NO perks. These POS politicians can get a full time job doing something productive not progressive. Their part-time job could be spent DEFUNDING/DISMANTLING socialist collectives, foreign and domestic (our government in particular).

Once again, the BOHICA Party sticks it to we, the people. How many times are we going to get it stuck to us before we realize that there is only one party rule and they do NOT represent us?

Congress is a fraudulant, criminal organization engaged in racketeering. Crimes punishable under RICO Act include:
Any violation of state statutes against gambling, murder, kidnapping, extortion, arson, robbery, bribery, dealing in obscene matter, or dealing in a controlled substance or listed chemical (as defined in the Controlled Substances Act);
Any act of bribery, counterfeiting, theft, embezzlement, fraud, dealing in obscene matter, obstruction of justice, slavery, racketeering, gambling, money laundering, commission of murder-for-hire, and several other offenses covered under the Federal criminal code (Title 18);
Embezzlement of union funds;
Bankruptcy fraud or securities fraud;
Drug trafficking; long-term and elaborate drug networks can also be prosecuted using the Continuing Criminal Enterprise Statute;
Money laundering and related offenses;
Bringing in, aiding or assisting aliens in illegally entering the country (if the action was for financial gain);
Acts of terrorism.

They can ALL be arrested under Article I, Section 6 of the Constitution for felonies committed. Is there ANY lawyer out there willing to take this on? Would the FBI file suit? Are we on our own?

It’s very simple. Rat politicians are smarter than GOP politicians.

The GOP will nominate Romney, and Obama will win.

But both parties are controlled by the same people. So, it doesn’t really matter who wins between Romney and Zero.

Our only hope is a third-party candidate. I’m not saying a third-party candidate would win. I’m just saying that’s our only hope.

I say it is time for the Republicans in the HOUSE to throw blubber baby Boehner out of the Speakership and put somebody in there that has some BALLS! I have had it with these people. We need a third party. A REAL CONSERVATIVE party! We need it now! I don’t give a rat’s rear end if Obama gets a second term. We need to make a stand NOW. NO MORE VOTING FOR REPUBLICANS WHO CAN’T MAKE A STAND AND STAY WITH IT!! BOEHNER MUST BE FORCED OUT NOW!! Send him to the corner to have a good cry. What a complete whining baby, candy ass...etc.

So wait, let me just clarify... You WANT to keep taxes as they are, rather than cut them? A 1/3rd reduction in a tax rate is something you oppose?
