If the Torah teaches something, and every organized civilization on earth behaved accordingly for thousands of years, yet NOT ONE knew what He said, sounds like things go according to the teaching, no matter what we think. If there were prophecies in Torah that span thousands of years, yet NO ONE knew they were there, and things STILL go according to same, no matter what, doesn't that indicate SomeOne knows what is to come? Yet such a charge does not imply overt direction; He says how things will go, we misunderstand it completely, and yet we do whatever according to OUR choices, yet things turn out exactly the way He said they would all along the way.

Sounds like G_d to me.

God miraculously preserved the people and nation of Israel, who obsessively maintained the Word, which prophesied the coming of a Savior. Atheists can't explain that kind of thing, nor can they explain how the Savior, precisely predicted in prophecy, nevertheless did not meet the human expectations of the keepers of the Law and Prophets, but turned out to be the living incarnation of the passover, and not a selfish king but a sacrificial suffering servant. Clearly Jesus is not of this earth.

There is nothing in the materialistic view of the world which gives us hope. Hope comes only through the miracle of the Gospel.
