When Stephen can find a self assembled pocket watch somewhere int he universe that did not have a builder, then we might not snicker at poor lost Stephen. It is the height of arrogance to proclaim that which he has zero chance of proving or disproving while still in his flesh, when all the known evidence points to there being a builder of it all rather than the absence of a builder for so much that is, that exists.
The example I like to use is “throwing a stick of dynamite into a bauxite mine, and when the dust clears there’s a fully functional Boeing 747 sitting there fuelled up.”
Entropy by definition precludes the entire “self forming” idea of the universe, because order CANNOT come from disorder. There MUST BE an intelligence guiding material for it to make any sense.
