Newt needs to beat Romney in Iowa.
A Ron Paul win is more or less meaningless since it will be the last state that he wins. If Newt beats Ron Paul (and Romney) that would be, IMHO, a big deal. If Romney beats Newt in Iowa then that is going to cause a bit of glitch in the money raising but Gingrich will survive to make it to SC and FL where he should win with pretty good margins.

Romney and Paul have spent 9 MILLION dollars on attack ads against Newt. Perry, Bachmann or Santorum need to win Iowa.
It is down to one of those three to save us from Newt, Romney and Paul.
We need Perry to edge past Romney too....that will cause the wheels to come off for Mittens.
